These systems cool solids and gases by spraying various fogs containing different particles. By employing the vaporization heat of the mist, the temperature of the solid or gas to be cooled can be reduced by several to several hundred degrees. The system can be used for a wide variety of purposes, such as shortening the cycle time of processes that currently take time to complete using air cooling, or increasing the mass of gases by cooling them (improving the power generation efficiency of gas turbines).
